2 Corinthians 4:4
2 Corinthians 4:4 says, “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” Most commentators agree that the phrase “the god of this age” doesn’t refer to Yahweh, but to the devil. So what does it mean that scripture calls him the god of this age? Is that mainly helpful and clarifying, or discouraging? Read all of chapter 4 for context.
