- We live in a violent world, and our world has been shaped by violence in many ways, from Cain and Abel to modern times.
- We often associate violence with justice, but when violence happens to the innocent, we call it unjust.
- And this sense of justice haunts humanity. It makes us want to see those who hurt others suffer for that injustice, even if it means returning violence for violence.
