Matthew 6:5-8
Read Matthew 6:5-8. In this passage, Jesus critiques the people who deliberately pray in front of others to try to seem holy, and says that prayer should be a private act. Is that surprising to you? Why do you think the Father would “reward” prayer in secret more than prayer in front of others? Also, in verse 8 Jesus points out that our Father knows what we need before we ask Him. How does that shape the way you think about prayer?
