I’ve invested in a book called Smartphone Sanity, an experience made by a Christian ministry called Axis to help me think through how I use my smartphone and particularly how to help my kid use their phone well.
Will you pray for us in this experience and be available in case any of the lessons cause me to need to bounce ideas off of someone else?
I’m working through a book called Smartphone Sanity from a Christian ministry called Axis (axis.org) to explore how the smartphone impacts me and my kid. I’ll be reading a handful of short chapters that consist of a lesson and an experience. Each of these readings will provide me with deeper thinking about how we can control the smartphones in our lives instead of letting our smartphones control us.
This is especially important as we’re in the tough phase of figuring this smartphone thing out.
I believe the smartphone is a very useful device, but so much evil can be accessed through this same technology. This is a way of life moving forward, and I simply want to help my kid learn how to use this device well while they’re under my roof. That way when they become an adult and use a smartphone for the rest of their life, I’ll know I did my best to train them to use it well.
As we enter into this series of lessons and experiences, would you be willing to support our family by praying for us? Also, would you be open to discussing any lessons that I need to process further with someone I trust?
