Hiring Starting Salary Range:  $75K to $85K per year

Job Summary 

The Sr. Digital Marketing Director (SDMD) will serve as the key leader in the Digital Marketing Team. Were looking for an agile, results-driven, detail-oriented digital marketer to own the direction and execution of our strategic efforts to increase brand awareness, family memberships, qualified lead generation, and household donations and engagement. 

In addition to experience in digital marketing, the right candidate will possess a growth mindset, a strong sense of brand and voice, and a passion for inspiring generosity. 

They will also be an exceptional communicator with superb interpersonal skills, who can interface with team members, peers, and leadership with positivity, excellence, and integrity. He/she will also possess strong technology skills, excellent writing experience, and project management abilities. The ideal candidate would possess the ability to strategize and lead, but also would have the skills needed to create the content and execute as needed. As a small marketing team, and as a nonprofit, each staff member must be multi-faceted. 

Objectives and Responsibilities 

  • Build, lead, and review work of the digital marketing team in the production of all web content and digital marketing collateral.
  • Fully own and grow presence and efficacy of our website, utilizing tools and SEO strategy.
  • Aggressively grow our audience base through targeted ad strategy and lead flow generation.
  • Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small-scale and large-scale projects, harnessing strategy, digital and brand design, compelling content, and technology.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and advancement departments in developing marketing plans, analyzing results, and identifying opportunities.
  • Analyze brand tracking, market trends, donor need, and the competitive landscape.
  • Implement the digital marketing strategy with detailed, excellent execution.
  • Lead the Digital Marketing Team, including staff, hires, budgets, metrics, and deliverables.
  • Manage the digital monthly and quarterly content calendar.
  • Maintain and develop the effective use of platforms specifically WordPress, Virtuous, and Hubspot.
  • Oversee all email strategy in both content and target audience.
  • Develop strategy and audiences for key fundraising and awareness campaigns.
  • Oversee paid media advertising campaigns on Google, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and so on.
  • Act as the owner of our website performance, with a focus on optimizing for search and user experience.
  • Be willing to both lead strategy and create content, when needed.

Skills and Qualifications 

    • 8+ years of experience in digital marketing or advertising.
    • 4+ years of managerial or team leadership experience.
    • College degree in a related field such as communications, marketing, advertising, etc.
    • Proven track record with successful envisioning, creation, and implementation of marketing/advertising campaigns with proven lead generation and revenue.
    • Understanding of and past experience creating integrated content across all marketing channels from digital, social media, paid media, and mobile.
    • Service-oriented, team player with a passion to inspire and serve the ministry of Axis.
    • Strong copywriting skills with great attention to detail.
    • Graphic design skills a plus.
    • Mastery of email marketing strategy, audience development, lead generation, and conversions.
    • Positive, professional leader with excellent people-oriented leadership skills.
    • Experience with Hubspot, Adobe, InDesign, WordPress, Virtuous.
